Another Preview Issue - Users

Hi

Okay, I've worked through most things now, but I seem to be having another preview issue now. This is 6.24 on Ubuntu Server.

I can log in and preview documents as Administrator no problem at all - I've got that side of things working just fine now. So, I created a profile which some of my "internal" users will need, and selected the options I figured most would need. It doesn't have to be too limiting, just don't want them deleting out of hand.

Then I created a user based on that profile - so I have User:Director Profile as it were.

When I log in as my test user, with that profile, I can upload, download as PDF all fine. However, document preview seems to hang on "starting conversion" - this is happening with all documents.

So, I guess it's a permissions issue - I just don't know what with. Any ideas for me to follow up on at all please?

Thanks - Bill.

I do not think be a permission issue. Please make us some screenshot for same files with administrator and with these user.

We would like to see catalina.log error ( only the error ).

Hi jllort

I've done some further testing, and have discovered it only happens in one browser, and so far seems unresolvable.

Have now tested in IE, FF, Chrome, Safari and Opera. My default browser has been Comodo Dragon for a long while now, which is based on Chrome, yet seems to have enough differences that it's stopping the previewing working at all.

I can work round this easily enough...

Interestingly, of course, catalina showed no errors because, as far as it was concerned, there were none - so it's always worth checking "issues" in alternate browsers too I guess, especially if not using a standard one.

OpenKM UI is based in GWT framework which produces compatible html code for :
- Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8, 9
- Safari 5, 6
- Chromium and Google Chrome
- Opera latest version

The previewer we use is flexpaper what needs to get installed acrobat flash player.
