Sorry, I started this thread with two different problems. Should I create a new one for the German umlaut problem?
What do you mean with "changing table column size"? I have no knowledge about sql, so could you please explain exactly what I could try?
Thanks a lot.

The change I propose to you has no relation with special character in german. Please add other ticket for it. Basically can talk about special characters in german. Insert some screenshot if it's possible, indicate your OS, and where's the problem ( input fields, preview etc... ). Thanks

I have already added a ticket with screenshots for this problem under
http://issues.openkm.com/view.php?id=2722
For which problem did you propose to "changing table column size"?

The column size problem was caused by need to store more data length that was available by default.

Sorry, what do you mean with "column size problem"? In this thread I reported two "errors". First, that non ascii characters in filenames are replaced with a question mark when importing a document using a scanner, and second that the wizard does not work when importing a document using a scanner.
What is the column size problem you mentioned?

In the same post we have talking about column lenght poblem related with column size change ( or type )
Code: Select allALTER TABLE OKM_NODE_MAIL MODIFY NML_CONTENT longtext;
disable automation etc... I think we can set status of it as closed and for anything else start newer, always with only one subject not merge several problems or questions at same time.

Please do not merge this new sort of questions on the same post, that cause a lot of confusion. Please add other post for it.
