That's great that the user will get information so he knows what he is waiting for, but actualy it seems that many of us here has the same problem that the coversion stop and pdf2swf hangs even with not that big files (I have example where it hangs with 2-3 Mb Word Doc files).
After a JBOSS restart the swf files get generated, but that isn't a solution, not even a temporary one.

When I transformed the doc into PDF via the pdf download function and then manually converted it with pdf2swf in command line it has no problem, so I don't think that it would be the issue of pdf2swf.

Is there any way to get some logs out of pdf2swf or OpenKM so we can see why and where it hangs?

the OpenKM log is on server.log ( at sever/default/log/ )

You can configure in OpenKM.cfg as script, pdf2swf.bat than into is running pdf2swf and make something more ( that could be used to doing log in pdf2swf conversion )

Thanks, unfortunately there is nothing in the server.log. It says connected and then disconnected and that's it. No error message at all.

Would you happen to have an example how to set pdf2swf in a batch file and how to make it create logs?
thanks

simply in OpenKM.cfg put the route of .bat file ( script ) and it's the same you execute from console, here (http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Troubleshooting) you've got a example how to doing it on linux ( in windows it's similar, but must use a .bat extension file ).
