Hello All,

I have been reading thru the form and I notice that the version of OpenOffice to work with OpenKM is always listed very specifically as OpenOffice 3.2.1.

I have started using OpenKM just recently and it is working well (5.0.3), thank you for providing the software, but I have tried to install the OpenKM add-on to two test platforms: Mac os 10.6.6; OpenOffice 3.3.0, and while I can install the plug-in all that shows up in Write or Calc is a grayed out toolbar that does not function.

Is this due to the version of OpenOffice I am using or is there some other issue that I am running into?

Thank you,

Ron Kenyeri

Simply is not good idea installing OpenKM on a MAC OS, it's really hard to configure on it. First any DMS might be installed on a isolated server, that's the idea, althought it, administrators decide to take advantage using hardware for several applications. In this kind of scenarios we can be found several OS, with a lot of applications installed that could have some problem ( ports etc... ).

Answering your questions, it's possible installing on MAC, put it's the hardly installation, and I must recommend some one more easy like for example ubuntu.

If you consider want continue trying to install on a MAC, you need some advanced knoledgement of this OS, pacience, some hours, and looking server.log where is indicated what's going wrong.

Thank you for the response, but let me clarify my original post.

OpenKM is deployed on a WindowsXP platform. The clients are MAC, WIN XP, and a few Redhat 12 users.

Everyone is using OpenOffice 3.3.0, I have been trying to use the OpenOffice addon for the MAC and the WinXP clients, I seem to have a java issue with the WinXP that I am still working on, but the mac clients all seems to install clean, but all I get is a grayed out tool bar with the OpenKM icons and no functionality.

If you have any ideas that would be great.

OK, now I understand you.

The open office version with what we've develop it, is 3.2 it's not good idea using lower version than this, but you're using upper and might not be a problem. I know openoffice needs some java package that for example by default on some linux is not installed ( it's some openoffice java package that must installed ).

It might be debugged the application on mac os to understanding what's happening ( netbeans 6.5 with openoffice extension for developers )

Hello, did someone solve this issue? I already implemented OpenKM 5.1.9, it works thank you. :)

But when I trying to use OpenKM add-on for OpenOffice/LibreOffice I see the grayed icons as in attachment. I'm using latest Mac OSX Lion and latest LibreOffice 3.5.0. Java version is 1.6.0_29. When I tried OpenOffice 3.3.0 the situation was the same.

Can please somebody help?

Seems could be some problem with newer openoffice version and openkm addin. Openkm addin has been developed with openoffice 3.2 version and we need some time to rebuild it.
