Hi,
is there already a small description how to update from Version 4.1 to Version 5.0 which is already available in demo.openkm.com?

I looked in the official documentation http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Migration_Guide.
Is there maybe another document which describes the steps required to upgrade to latest 5.0 release?

Thank you in advance for your feedback and regards from Germany, Timsen

There is no stable version of OpenKM 5.0, so there is no migration process actually. But you can export the repository from OpenKM 4.1 and import it again from OpenKM 5.0. It will work.

timsen this week we have in mind setting actual openkm trunk the "beta" category ... there's no migration process if first we've not arrived there.

Hi,
thank you for your quick reply.

I want to use the Beta to report some possible bugs or problems.

One quick question if I export the repositoryn the user list is not automatically exported, right?
Is there a candy way to migrate the user list and the personal documents of the users too?

For example if some users have placed some files in their "My documents" section of the OpenKM Desktop.

Good day to you, Tim

The user list migration process depends on your OpenKM configuration, because OpenKM can authenticate with LDAP, or several databases. By default, uses an embeded database called HSQL.

The personal document can be exported like the root document folder. Actually, I don't recommend a migration because the repository structure is not definitive and may chance until the final release. If you want to test OpenKM 5.0, the better is start from a clean installation.
