After updating to Ubuntu 26.04, I installed the CE-Version 7.0.3. In Ubuntu 24.04 there was version 6.13 installed and it worked for years. I deleted whole tomcat folder and database. After installation 7.0.3, I imported the repository as described in the documentation.
First, it worked fine but after hours, openkm crashed 3 times, the last 2 with java heap space. How can I fix the issue?

For OpenKM:
* Stop the OpenKM
* Delete the logs folder.
* Start OpenKM again. When the issue occurs again, compress the logs folder into a ZIP file and share it with us for analysis.

Finally, could you please let us know which operating system you are using and what hardware resources are available on the server (CPU, RAM, and disk space)?

The issue now comes as soon as the text extractor starts to work.
System report is in the zip, further details: openkm is installed in home of user openkm on system-partition. The repository is on data-partition connected per softlink.

This is a classic issue. You probably have a fairly large document that is consuming all the available memory during text extraction.

Edit the `setenv.sh` file (you will find it under `tomcatXXX/bin`) and increase the memory allocation from `4096M` to `8192M`. Once you have done this, restart the service.

Regarding the **"Text extractor worker"** cron task, go to **Administration → Stats → Pending Text Extraction Queue** and check the first 5–10 documents in the queue. Take a look at them to see if any have a large number of pages or any particular characteristics that could be causing the issue.
