I have an application in which around 1 lakhs of documents are uploaded in an year.

I am trying to check the scalability of openKM software before I go on finalise my decision of using openKM.

Can anyone give me an idea if openKM is going to support upload of around a lakhs of documents in an year.

To check the scalability, i have tried to upload around 35000 documents ( using java code) to openKm.
both with the repository being the file system and as well as oracle database. But I
was not successful as for file system my local machine ran out of disk space and for database i got message like unable to extend lob segment ( Error code OKM-50001) was displayed after I tried to upload the document through the openKM UI.

Any help / suggestion on this would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The simply way to make a initial document importing is going to administration tab, general utils, and there you can set a folder path on your server to import all structure to OpenKM.

Database problem could occurs - in oracle case - if you\'ve not configured automatic size increment of your dataspace.

Hi,

I have completed the scenario for upload of 1 lakh files. I have uploaded files of about 48 GB in size.

The repository size after this activity was carried out was 101 GB.

Are there some configurations so that we can reduce the size taken by the repository.

Also,

When I tried to access the fodler under which these documents were uploaded through the OpenKM UI, the file listing is not displayed and a timeout occurs and a message is displayed to logs the user out.

Have you finished really uploading files, before looking to tree OpenKM UI ? Are there\'re any error on server.log, try looking there when you\'re importing files ?
