We tried to make OpenKM as intuitive as possible, but an advice is always welcome.

I'd like to use an open source learning management system for a math course... Is moodle the best option? If not, which other options do I have? I also read about CMSs like joomla and droopal. Do they fit the bill for my requirement too ? Thank you
I think you got some confusion. One thing is a content management and other thing are learning platforms which main goal if provide environment to build courses and share with others users. If you're looking for platform to share and build your own courses them moodle or others. I suggest take a look at this list http://www.onlineuniversity.net/elearning-platforms/ In older times we used claroline - for my point of view easiest to use than moodle -.
