I'm working for a company that routinely enters dates into metadata fields that reach back the early 1900s. As far as I can tell, all I can do is click through the arrows on the date dialog to get back that far. Is there a better, faster way to go back to the 1920's and 1930's in the date dialog, or enter the dates directly?

Thanks.

If you're importing old data, the easiest way will be make minimal script program to insert metadata. Otherside actual widget do not allow to write directly the year which feature will solve your problem. Other solution could be make tree fields ( year, month, day ) but in that case will not be able to use metadata for search between dates. I suggest the first solution.
