Search results and preview

Currently I am testing by uploading documents via webdav. (Works very well, thanks.)

When I search documents (most are PDF) for content (text), I get a valid hit list of results. However, I would like to see a snippet of the search result (in context) on the hit list. I searched for this feature or function and did not find anything significant explaining how to enable this function or if it was available.

Additionally, when I click preview, I see a message "Preview unavailable". My intended end-users need some way to know that they have found the correct document before downloading/checking out.

Other user has demanded this feature and will try implemented in next version, I think like you it's necessary have it, probably similar feature appearence as you can see in actual google search engine ( right image ).

You should configure openoffice and pdf2swf to preview documents. If you only need previewing pdf file pdf2swf is enought to you ( pdf2swf is part of swftools )
