Hi,

Categoris is a hierarchical structure but not kewords... What is the best practice to use one or the other ? For my part I'm using categories to put document's typologie... By the way keywords could be switched with descriptors (comming from thesaurus) ! What do you mind about all of this ?

Do you mean vategories is like a classification plan, to oraganize and find out documents, and thesaurus obviously is the indexation system to describe documentation content ?

You can organize your documents by several ways: keywords, categories, thesaurus or property groups. The more formal way is using a thesaurus but you can also use categories if does not need the work of defining a thesaurus. The main different between categories and keywords is that categories are hierarchical and keywords are plain.
