Hi, I use MS Office to create documents for upload to OpenKM and only let other users to read them with preview. But often there are formatting problems with the preview generated by LibreOffice (OpenOffice is worse). I know there are Add-in for MS Office, is it possible to upload the file and at the same time generate a PDF directly from MS Office and upload the PDF file to the preview cache too?

If not, then is it possible for me to upload my own preview PDF?

Thanks.

If you can not preview PDF document usually is caused by PDF file complexity ( layers ). The PDF file is converted to SWF and then is shown at preview tab. Take a look at http://wiki.openkm.com/index.php/Third- ... n_problems

Thanks for the reply. I know about the problem, I just want to see if there is any way to by pass the preview pdf generation by uploading my own preview pdf. In this case, I'll post this idea on feature suggestions.

On professional edition preview can goes with html5 preview ( what solves conversion problems to swf ) and also we have a plugin architecture what allows to you externalize the previsualization ( build your own ). These feature are still not present in community edition.
