We tried to make OpenKM as intuitive as possible, but an advice is always welcome.

We have never played with Oracle UCM, but like other application, there are always two ways to move data from other applications to OpenKM. If it comes with API -> this usually is the easiest way if not should analyze the database structure and from there build the queries to export data and prepare import script. With the second option, we have migrated data from other DMS, CRM tools to OpenKM ( you need some time to analyze the structure of the database and where binary data is set, but when you got it ... the process is not much complex, requires time and always having a good log of the actions and possible error what may happen during the migration). Usually, in the migration, the customers discover the health of their data is not so good ( wrong date, strange values etc... and the migration process must be prepared to continue although these problems but at the same time log them to recover in a second stage).
