Hi rwebb,
I am having the same issues as you (running on Ubuntu 18) - I managed to get past the ldaps issue (see post above) but am having the same report "ERROR c.o.principal.LdapPrincipalAdapter - NamingException: Unprocessed Continuation Reference(s) (Cache: com.openkm.cache.ldapPrincipalAdapter.general ... blah blah blah ...".
I cannot get the message box you have on your UI or anything meaningful with DEBUG messages ... just the test message on UI in red "Authentication error". Can you please help with:
1. Are you still getting the "ERROR c.o.principal.LdapPrincipalAdapter ...: messages. If not how did you solve this.
2. Can you please share your OpenKM.xml file ... I have tried a dozen variations ... it seems like this changes between versions, (and no debugging makes it hard) even with DEBUG I cannot get messages like viewtopic.php?t=21240
I'm nearly ready to give up, which is a shame because I think this product has promise, and am so close (I sorted a bunch of issues and have all users showing in the user interface) ...
