Open Source Document Management System | OpenKM

Hi Every body,
I'm completely New to OpenKm
I want to extend OpenKM by adding some buttons for doing some actions
Recently i heared about plugin development capabilities of OpenKm but i don't know where to start
Would you please give me some links of where i should start learning and the documentation that i need to read.
