New user start-up problem(s)

Post by EV72 » Fri Sep 09, 2016 12:26 pm

Hello,
New user on Po trial version. Win 7, 64 BIT.
Installed, and after initial errors made some modifications: pointed setenv to 64 bit JDK 1.7 and lowered the memory value.

After runnning catalina.bat, scrolling text in DOS box, and log file several errors remain. First is "Failed to scan JAR". Subsequently "Error configuring application listener of class com.openkm.servlet.SessionListener"

Log file paste:

Installa a jdk 64 bits in your computer ( if you do not have it ).
Modify setenv.bat and set there the JAVA_HOME ( see in first lines of log that is using C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath; )

As mentioned in my original post, I had already done that. Perhaps not correctly, but I tried again with Community version, same issue.

I don't understand what you mean by '( see in first lines of log that is using C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath; )'

I do not have a folder C:\ProgramData\Oracle\

The folder C:\ProgramData\Oracle\ is in your PATH environment variable.

Your architecture is 64 bits and also de the JDK you have installed no ?
Can be a lot of reasons why the application is not correctly running in you OS ( At the begining seems is using C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_79 ) because on a non clean windows anything is possible.

I see you are trying to run our trial, here we have two options, both needs contacting with sales & marketing team guys across our website contact form at https://www.openkm.com/en/contact.html . To do not losing time from your side, and be frustrated our guys can provide to you a full demo in our cloud for 2 weeks, or can authorize us to take a look on your system for discovering what's happening ( the first sure is the best option for all ).

OK, I bypassed this problem for now, by creating a new user account in Win7. That worked fine as apparently it did not have any previous Java isntallations associated to it. I have done the demo with your sales team.
