Implemetar Correos Gmail

Buenas, he intentado implementar la parte de los correos por gmail,he leido por el foro que tengo que meterme a la carpeta de tomcat-conf y modificar el archivo server.xml para que se posible, pero a la hora decambiar el archivo y volver a iniciar el servicio de openkm, me sale un error que impide iniciar el servicio.
Estoy usando la ultima version de OpenKM ,uso firefox como navegador y trabajo en un windows 10

Cuando se introduce algun tipo de error en los ficheros XML en general la aplicación no arranca. Este tipo de error no lo veras en el fichero openkm.log porque no llega arrancar la aplicación y por lo tanto el log no escupe nada. Esto lo veras con mayor detalle en el fichero catalina.out

Saltando a lo que realmente te interesa en un fichero XML existen unos cuantos carácteres reservador como "< & >" entre otros, en concreto tu error creo que viene cuando has puesto el correo electrónico:

que debería ser ( hemos puesto los caracteres < y > como ejemplo pero con eso no queremos indicar que se tengan que poner. Igual en la documentación no hemos acertado en la explicación ):

A ver si esto te soluciona el problema.

Nota final: Antes de modificar ficheros XML -> siempre backup, porque a veces con el copy & paste puedes insertar carácteres ocultos y te volveras loco.

Buenas, vuelvo a comentar este post con respecto a los correos, tengo implementado la parte de que puedo ver los correos de Gmail desde OpenKM en la seccion de correos, pero cuando adjunto un archivo o lo edito y quiero notificar a algun usuario que esta suscripto al documento o carpeta nunca envia al correo alguna notificacion, debo de modificar otro archivo dentro del tomcat para que pueda funcionar,solo he modificado el archivo server.xml

La primera parte es ver si realmente puedes enviar correos electrónicos desde la aplicación ( vete a Administration > Tools > Check email -> y intenta enviar un correo a ver si te funciona ... en caso contrario el primera paso es conseguir que la aplicación pueda enviar correos ... -mail.html
