Yeah, apparently my java skills are non-existent. I couldn't manage to do anything. Do you offer custom programming services to have you make the changes?

Yes the search would be an issue. If you could tell me the classes I can take a swing at it. Not that good at java, but I'll give it a shot.

Thanks.

Back in 2013 I asked if it was possible to enter dates manually without using the date widget. This would be very important for us as we would be entering very old dates (in some cases early 1800s). At the time we abandoned openkm because it would just be too inefficent to use the widget to move thr...

Date Entry for Old Dates

by chackem ¦  Mon Mar 18, 2013 4:22 pm ¦  Forum: Configuration ¦  Topic: Date Entry for Old Dates ¦  Replies: 1 ¦  Views: 1056

I'm working for a company that routinely enters dates into metadata fields that reach back the early 1900s. As far as I can tell, all I can do is click through the arrows on the date dialog to get back that far. Is there a better, faster way to go back to the 1920's and 1930's in the date dialog, or...

I tested using the nightly build: 6.2.3-DEV build 7928 with Community Extension.

Searching appears to work perfectly in that version. So whatever happened appears to be fixed since the community download I used.

I went to the demo site, ( http://demo.openkm.com/OpenKM/login.jsp ). Searching worked perfectly fine, exactly the way I would expect it to. I then made a completely brand new install of the community edition, using as few changes as possible to the default configuration. I get the exact same result...

Thanks for your prompt reply. You have been very responsive to all of my inquires and that has been very helpful. I have tested a bit further and I'm having problems with text property fields. I have the following: <property-group label="Funeral" name="okg:funeral"> <input label=...

MetaData search

 by chackem ¦  Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:43 pm ¦  Forum: Configuration ¦  Topic: MetaData search ¦  Replies: 7 ¦  Views: 3026

I have a metadata field (text) for Social Security Numbers. (###-##-####). Given the number: 123-45-6789, I can use the Advanced Search -> MetaData -> Funeral Group -> SSI field and search for 123-45-6789. That comes up perfectly. If, however, I search for 123* or *6789, it comes up with nothing. Is...

I'm planning on making my project available once it's complete. I've figured out how to do those one at a time. I was wondering if there was a way to remove ALL of the keywords at one time, without having to call the function x number of times. If not, it's no big deal. Just looking for the most eff...

Clear Keywords

Is there a way in Beanshell to clear ALL the keywords for a given node at one time? I've figured out how to add and remove a keyword one at a time, but I assume there is a way to do this in one method call? I'd like to do the same for categories, but I assume the one will show me how to do the other...

property creation from script

Is it possible to create a new property for a property group through Beanshell, or does the Property Group XML file have to be edited directly?

Thank you so much. My mistake was that I thought you had to have an instance or create an object to use a method. I wasn't able to create or getInstance() on AuthDAO, so that was where my mistake was. I didn't realize you could use it directly. I come from a C++ background and am still learning Java...

I can't seem to be able to get AuthDAO to create an instance, and OKMAuth doesn't seem to give me access to what I want. I should have been clearer in my OP. What I'd like is to be able to set user info, like isActive, so I can have functions like this: boolean isActive(user); void setActive(user, a...

I'm trying to create a series of convenience classes to help do common operations by scripting. I have the nodes figured out pretty well, such as getting node information, history information, keywords, etc. But I'm tearing my hair out over user information. What I'd like to do is something like the...

Any idea when the 6.0 community version will be released?
