Re: How to disable PDF download function in preview window??

I won't disagree with what jllort has already stated - simply disabling the download button does not stop a user from downloading the PDF - it just makes it more difficult. If all that you want to do is make it more difficult, then there is a small edit you can make in the PDFjs code: Edit tomcat-x....

Downloading and manually copying the pdfjs files from the downloaded zip file as specified in the issue I linked above, and then clearing browser cache worked perfectly. I copied the pdf.js and pdf.worker.js from the build folder into the tomcat/webapps/OpenKM/preview/build directory Then I backed u...

That refered to this issue:

I will post an update if the upgrading the pdfjs works.

PDF preview not working (sometimes)

by stiebs ¦  Mon Nov 08, 2021 2:43 am ¦  Forum: Configuration ¦  Topic: PDF preview not working (sometimes) ¦  Replies: 2 ¦  Views: 963

I've recently (over the past 6 weeks ago, can't pinpoint exactly when) had some issues previewing some PDFs. I often scan paper documents using my Fuji ScanScap S1300i document scanner, which auto OCR's them. If any editing is required (removing blank pages, etc) I'll edit in PDF-Xchange editor befo...

Help with Office plugin

 by stiebs ¦  Mon Nov 08, 2021 12:03 am ¦  Forum: Configuration ¦  Topic: Help with Office plugin ¦  Replies: 1 ¦  Views: 694

I've been using OpenKM CE for some years - generally as a repository for PDF documents. But I'd now like to start putting live Word/Excel documents in there as well. I am not able to get the Office add-on to connect to my instance. I've installed plugin version 6.1.2 (as per the compatibility matrix...

Customise columns in file browser

by stiebs ¦  Mon Sep 02, 2019 5:37 am ¦  Forum: Usage ¦  Topic: Customise columns in file browser ¦  Replies: 1 ¦  Views: 1243

I've used the used the Profiles configuration to customise the columns for the file browser to show some of the metadata properties that I've added. But I'd like to configure different columns for different folders within the taxonomy (and/or category hierarchy). Is is possible to do this?

Can't get metadata select working

 by stiebs ¦  Thu Jul 18, 2019 11:57 am ¦  Forum: Configuration ¦  Topic: Can't get metadata select working ¦  Replies: 3 ¦  Views: 3386

I'm trying to set up a metadata category that has a data-driven selection, but following the docs, can't seem to get it to work. Below is my property group XML, and I have attached the contents of OKM_DB_METADATA_TYPE and OKM_DB_METADATA_VALUE. If I use the select, I get a parse error so can't even ...

So it seems that I inadvertently selected a property group in the "Wizard" section of the default user "Profile" (This is the only profile I'm using). It doesn't seem possible to deselect a property group once selected though. I've tried had to create a new dummy property group, ...

So I have the opposite problem... Every time I upload a new document, it prompts me to enter meta-data. I need to accept it, and then delete the property group from the document. How can I turn this off?

Re: OpenKM 6.2 Mail Import

I've just started considering importing mail into OpenKM, and although I like the way it categorises into a date structure, it does not order properly when the month or day number is less than 10. Eg, in the screenshot below, the emails on the 4th of Feb come after those on the 10th, 11th and 26th. ...

Keyword map question

 by stiebs ¦  Mon Mar 02, 2015 12:15 am ¦  Forum: Usage ¦  Topic: Keyword map question ¦  Replies: 1 ¦  Views: 1483

I've just (finally) switched across to 6.3 from 5.something, and it looks like the keyword map feature (on the dashboard) has changed slightly how it works. I'm pretty sure that previously, after selecting one keyword it refreshed the cloud to show only keywords that remained relevant to the documen...

After searching the forums a bit, I found that I was on 5.1.9, and previously someone else with problems importing fixed their problem by upgrading to 5.1.10. So now that I've upgraded to 5.1.10, I have successfully imported a document from a hand written .okm file, by omitting the "uuid" ...

Manually creating .okm files for import?

If I've got a heap of newly scanned documents to import, I don't want to go through and manually upload, then assign keywords and categories to all documents. Gets very tedious and takes a long time. I can instead write a shell script to generate the *.okm files to be used for an import. How do I go...

I managed to get 6.2 up and going pretty painlessly, but the mobile version doesn't work for me - I just get the full desktop version rendered on my phone and tablet. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to do to force mobile version?
