There's some new property in OpenKM.cfg used in ldap for version 5.0 that not exist on 4.1, simply must add it, rest of properties are the same, has not been changed. ( If you don't add these two new properties on OpenKM.cfg there's no major problem, simply you'll not see roles when user will try f...

The first time you run OpenKM, this (ugly error and stacktrace) is thrown because there is no created repository and will try to create a new one. This stacktrace can't be catched, or at least I can't do it, because the message is printed inside the jackrabbit library. As you say, any patch will be...

Well, as stated in the wiki, the migration from 4.1 to 5.0 is heavy. The migration process ensure the migration of the documents, but not for users, roles, etc. This should be done by hand because depends on your database backend. Migration in future OpenKM released will be more simpler and will en...

I see my problem. I failed to create the jaas.conf file. The command executed, but did not move the repository. Now that I created the jaas.conf file everything worked. Thanks for working with me. Oh yeah, that bit me once too, when I used a relative path for the jaas.conf file and tried the same c...

Do I need to worry about users and permissions when upgrading from 4.1 to 5.0, if I store my users in LDAP?

The process described in the wiki didn't work for me. I just got variations on the following: 25/Dec/2010 16:37:46 - INFO - ============================== 25/Dec/2010 16:37:46 - INFO - - Old config: /etc/openkm4/repository.xml 25/Dec/2010 16:37:46 - INFO - - Old home: /var/lib/openkm4/repository 25/...

Apparently it didn't, because I received no reply. Have you fixed that contact form in the meantime? :)

I just tried and received an error message stating that I am "not authorized to view this resource". I don't know if my message got through.

It was probably caused by the not-quite-correct LDAP configuration; maybe the user wasn't looked up properly or something. I'm basically just whining about the lack of clarity in the error message here. :) (A stacktrace is not an error message, and it doesn't substitute an error message either, I th...

The management wants /dms, for cosmetic reasons I suppose.

And I absolutely can't make the same OpenKM instance visible under two different path names? That's inconvenient. Just out of curiosity: why does OpenKM need to know what path is used to access it? Normally the reverse proxy would hide this from a web application; OpenKM only knows because the locat...

I've had trouble with ajp before and am using simple HTTP proxying. Are you saying that is what's causing my problem? The relevant part of my apache configuration looks like this: RewriteRule ^/dms(.*) http://internal.hostname:8080/OpenKM$1 [P,L] ProxyPassReverse /dms/ http://internal.hostname:8080/...

Thanks; however, I'm still curious what the "workspace" is (preferably in non-Java-developer terms :), and in what constitutes "finding" it. I come from the Unix world, so my intuitive reading of the error message was that some analogue of the home directory of the user wasn't fo...

Reverse proxy issues

Hi, I'd like to use an apache reverse proxy with URL rewriting in front of OpenKM 4.1RC1. This appears to mostly work as intended, but in the log I see messages like these: 22:33:55,616 INFO [[/OpenKM]] ERROR: The module path requested, /dms/es.git.openkm.frontend.Main/, is not in the same web appli...

Hi, when attempting to use POI, I get various NoSuchMethodErrors, different ones for each version of POI that I try. Which version was the release candidate compiled with? Example errors: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.poi.poifs.filesystem.POIFSFileSystem.getRoot()Lorg/apache/poi/poifs/file...
