OpenKM and OpenFiler / FreeNAS solution?

Dear OKM community,
I am looking into a simple solution which enables us to use OpenKM with a very simple and flexible storage solution. Did someone try to use OpenKM with Openfiler or FreeNAS? I believe this could be a very interesting solution since extending the system with more hard disks could be more simple than just using OKM without a NAS/SAN. Does someone has experience with this?
