Not really, could be handy to have different options, but I was just thinking a simple string field that you had the option to display after user logs in. It would be used for messages like;

\"There will be system maintenance this Friday at 10:00 am for one hour, OpenKM will be unavailable during ...

Thanks for getting back Pavila, appreciated.

How long now before you release the next version? I certainly don\'t have the skills to be editing and recompiling the source code.

Hi, tried it in the online demo, and it worked fine. Created a test directory off the root, then deleted it no problem.

I can not do this on our system, as soon as a directory is created we are unable to delete it, even though we have changed no rights or permissions over the directory. It\'s only ...

The issue is easy to repoduce, just create a directtory anywhere then try to delete it, and we can\'t. I\'ve tried many times, and on every one it tells us the same message as indicated above, they just won\'t delete.

I was hoping you might have a way to manually access and delete directories in ...

No, sorry, still no luck, tried exactly as you have suggested and same message each time. Still a problem with readonly nodes.

I have set up different groups in the roles.properties file. I thought maybe this might have had something to do with it, I have changed different users and group security ...

Sorry, but nothing in the folder, is perfectly clean.

I\'ve tried as the user who created the folder, and as the System user, same message.

I\'ve gone into the windows directories and set the attrib to -r on all files and folder, just to be sure, but still can\'t delete folders in OpenKM.

Is very ...

I had a look through the forum, but didn\'t find anything else that really covered this problem, so I do apologise if this is somewhere else.

We are trying to delete folders, but the system won\'t let us, keeps saying

\'OKM-001009(Delete): Folder access denied\'

System Message On Login

by Dave ¦  Thu Aug 21, 2008 12:52 am ¦  Forum: New features discussion ¦  Topic: System Message On Login ¦  Replies: 4 ¦  Views: 9650

Would be great if we had the ability to display a system message when users log in. This would be used by the System Administrator to notify of changes, events, planned outages/downtime, etc.

We\'re up and running, thank you very much for your support and advice.

Firstly I found and allowed access through the windows firewall for port 8080, then I amended the server.xml file as suggested, and thirdly as I\'m running on a windows box I used the command run.bat -b host.ip.address and ...

Found the problem with uploading a file, it was an unsupported file type, once I tried a .pdf and .doc file they went in fine.

But, this is from the client on the machine running OpenKM, I apologise for appearing to be very stupid, but I\'m having no luck from another computer browser in running ...

Ok, I found out that the .ear and .war files are simply compressed zip files, you can change the extension to .zip and extract them, make the changes, zip them up again and rename back.

Took out the files and folder as you indicated above, ran it up, and hey presto I\'m at a login screen, awesome ...

Thank you, I\'ll definitely spend a little time working on it, as I really want to see this working.

I have no idea where to enter the code you suggested or how to edit the OpenKM.ear file at the moment, as I\'m new to all this, but all part of the learning process. I\'ll try the Java Networking ...

Just an afterthought, is it possible to tell JBoss what proxy address, user name and password to pass when attempting to access the net?

If we can get JBoss to authenticate through the proxy this might resolve the immediate problem? Might at least get the application up and running, so we can get ...

Thanks again for the advice, it appears the issue is not a simple straight forward fix then. I had looked into these other threads earlier, but they are a bit vague on where to go to adjust those settings.

I was really just attempting to run it up to prove if the software was adequete for our needs ...
